an initiative to build a data repository and mapping tool to visualize and download freshwater fish biodiversity data compiled from multiple sources.
Freshwater Fish Distribution & Ecology is a collaborative initiative from members of EDB Lab and their international partners to build a data repository and mapping tool to visualize and download freshwater fish biodiversity data. This online data portal makes available databases on the distribution of freshwater fish species at different spatial, temporal and taxonomic scales and also on their morphological and ecological traits. Some of this information is still restricted to members of the initiative or available through a formal data request and collaboration agreement. As specific databases are published in scientific journals, these are made freely available here and we make our best to provide updated versions of each database (see version date).
